Busy Busy Busy

4:33 p.m.

So, as is my usual daily routine, I go to step on the scale this morning before my shower. It’s generally scooched up against the wall, so I have to move it to be able to use it. Well, I hate Ed knowing that I’m weighing myself, so I try to be very very quiet. So, I pick up the scale to move it, and it clatters to the floor. And I mean, clatters! Ooops. Then I go to step on it, and it makes this awful snapping sound. Oops. Apparently, I stepped on it wrong, and it cracked the plastic shell on the side. Do you think that will adversely affect the reading? :) Damn, I hope not, because I like what I saw on the display. Or maybe the scale was just tired of being beaten into submission and gave me the numbers I wanted to see. So, I’ve managed to make a mini goal of mine, to get to a number I haven’t seen in a while. I hope it doesn’t go fluctuating around on me.

In other news, I’m tired, not really in the mood to work, and I’m ready for a nap already. I don’t know if today’ll be a good day, but I sure hope so. We shall see.

I think I’m actually getting a handle on my stressload here at work. I’ve got a lot squared away it seems. I’m still behind on a couple of things, but with luck, I’ll be completely caught up by the end of the week. I’ll sure try at least. I’m starting to feel a little better.

Of course, lunch break can’t come soon enough, as I brought a book to read. A real book, not a school book. Isn’t that exciting?? I’ve got tomato pesto pita pizza for lunch. Yummy. But that’s another two hours away. Not that I’m hungry, but I want to read my book.

Ooops, report is finished running. Must deal with it.

Can I just say… What lunch break? What book? It’s now 3:45, and I haven’t taken a break yet today. I ate my lunch on the fly, and I’ve still got a TON of work to do, and only 45 minutes left of today to do it. GAH!!!!

(gets back to typing out travel forms. Bleh.)

Holy hell, it’s 4:30, Ed just called to pick me up. I’m going HOME…

Woo hoo on making the personal goal!!! Having the day go by so fast is good...having it happen because you have too much work is NOT good.
